Chef's Biography |

Pepijn Schut was born in 1975 in Nijkerk, Holland. He received his formal training at The Culinary School of Gildevaart Nieuwegein.
After his Culinary education he went to the Cote D’azur in the South of France, to not only learn the language but also the culture, the passion for food, “le joie de vivre!”
Two and a half years later it was time to leave the Provence, and return to his home land Holland.
Directly Pepijn started at the famous Blakes Hotel Amsterdam. Well know for its Anouska Hemple design and conceptual dishes.
It was there where he learned a great deal about presentation, taste and concept cooking, under the guidance Executive Chef Schilo van Coevorden.
When Schilo, was asked to set up the cuisine for The College Hotel, Pepijn joined him as Head Chef.
To date Pepijn is now enjoying the position of Executive Chef of The College Hotel, running a team of highly motivated professionals, and enthusiastic young trainees
Pepijn’s cuisine is based on traditionally classic dishes, executed with modern flavours, textures and twists.
